The Royal Academy of Economics and Financial Sciences of Spain (RACEF), the Parliament of Catalunya and the University of Barcelona hosted between 15th and July 17th the first international meeting that the Association for Modelling and Simulation in Enterprises (AMSE) held in Barcelona, the MS10Barcelona, where experts from a dozen countries shared ideas and experiences on methods, techniques, applications and projects based on fuzzy logic, neural networks, genetic algorithms, the theory of uncertainty, chaos theory, new quantitative methods and soft computing.

Fainé guarantees two centuries of life for Spanish savings banks

Isidro Fainé, Full Academic and Auditor of the Royal Academy of Economics and Financial Sciencies of Spain and Chairman of the Spanish Confederation of Savings Banks, said that the renovation of the Spanish financial system and the current legal framework "guarantee at least two centuries of living for Spanish savings banks". Fainé held this view in an interview yesterday published the newspaper "La Vanguardia".

The Nobel Finn Kydland joins the RACEF being alert of the "Argentine risk" for which the Spanish economy happens

The Nobel of Economy and adviser of the FED Finn And. Kydland has been alert today in Barcelona on the "Argentine risk " for which there happens the Spanish economy, similar to that of the South American country in the decade of the 80 of last century, and has bet for long-term policies as the only route to what it has named the "Finnish effect ". Kynland has joined this evening as Corresponding Member for Norway the Royal Academy of Economic and Finantial Sciences of Spain (RACEF).
